Small bouquets called “Tussie Mussies” were common place in pre revolutionary France and The Victorians loved them. It was not just the beauty and sweet smells that made them popular, for each flower or herb had a symbolic meaning. In fact, whole dictionaries were written to help the receiver decipher the meaning of their bouquet.
Join Karen at The Cozy Castle for a “Language of Flowers” tea and talk about this fascinating by-gone tradition.
We will enjoy tea and scones along with Summer fruits and cheeses. All attendees will also hand tie their own small bouquet to take home with flowers chosen to symbolize good health, love and festivity!
