“Smudging” is the common name given to the indigenous American tradition known as The Sacred Smoke Bowl Blessing.
This powerful spiritual cleansing technique calls upon various sacred plants to drive away negative energy and to restore balance to an individual, a group, space, or all three.
Robyn Schmidt of Raven Remedies will guide you through the steps of this beautiful cleansing ritual, and also teach you to create your own beautiful, floral and herb filled smudge stick along with a smudging fan made of natural turkey feathers. The date we have chosen for this workshop is May Day, the traditional day of flowers.
This ritual is very simple, and if you have ever worked with yoga and meditation, you will understand that your body and the spaces you occupy vibrate with invisible energy currents that can be strongly affected by both spiritual and physical forces.
Smudging allows you to wash away all of the emotional and spiritual negativity that gathers in your body and your space over time. It is a bit like taking a “spiritual shower!”
