Saints and Angles Class - Cozy Castle Events

I adore the use of Saints and Angels in my artwork.

I do not consider myself an overly religious person, but more, a spiritual person who finds peace and beauty from the ethereal faces of Saints and Angels. I am always so inspired by the creative magic that they bring to my art. I search for vintage prayer cards, postcards, and ephemera from past eras which feature sweet cherubs, angels, and saints.  

The DeLand Angel Wing Mural 

Recently, I was excited to learn that my small town of DeLand features an artist painted mural of a gorgeous pair of white angel wings downtown in Pill Alley.   The wings were painted by Erica Group (Instagram). What started as a chalk design used in a photo shoot for a local business soon turned into a social media sensation (Facebook).

Erica is happy to announce that she has been hired by The West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority as their Artist in Residence! With this, she will be producing five new and unique sets of WINGS at various West Volusia locations. 

We will visit and have individual portraits taken with the angel wing mural and then return to embellish our own Saints and Angels.  The Saints and angels are all vintage pieces and no two are alike. I will have an array of rhinestone chains and vintage jewelry to embellish your Saint or Angel, and it will go from ordinary, to extraordinary. Which speaks to you more? Would you like to design a Saint or an Angel?  I will have your chosen piece ready to decorate beforehand.  I will also share some of my art pieces which feature vintage saints and angels with the class. 
We will celebrate our creations with a champagne toast and angel food cake.
